Make Money Online:  Finding an Online Niche 

The internet contains millions and millions of websites.  For an internet novice, wading through all of that to find a profitable, underexposed niche is challenging.  

Finding an online niche should be one of your first priorities.  Don't trust all of those "so-called" gurus who have the best product / service since sliced bread.  I highly recommend doing the research yourself and finding an online niche that you can dominate and make money from.

Find What Niches ("keywords") are Underserved?

You can do this manually or automatically.  By manually, you can go to google or wordtracker and find then number of monthly searches on a specific and related keywords.  This will give you an idea of the "demand" for that particular niche or keyword.  From there, you can further investigate on google and yahoo the "supply" (# of competing websites) for that particular keyword.  Digging deeper you can get a feel for the number of links each of the competing websites have.

Trust me, doing this manually can be done but is a LONG and EXHAUSTIVE process.  It will take you hours to do your research properly.

My recommendation (and what I personally use) is to automate the process with a program called Keyword Elite. 

The program is incredibly easy to use and extremely efficient.  You type in the keyword and it'll show you the supply and demand for an array of related keywords (up to 10,0000 at a time).  I can't say enough about Keyword Elite -- it's well worth the cost (less than $100 with a money back guarantee) and has tons and tons of training videos.  It's what I personally use and have uncovered many online opportunities.  It's by far and away the easiest tool to find an online niche.
